A thinker and a trailblazer, Soumitra is a man of interest and many interests. His portfolio includes an impressive range of live-action and animation projects feature films, television, short experimentals and documentary genres. He directed Jajantaram Mamantaram, arguably India’s most successful children’s film. His thought-provoking documentary on Afghanistan won world-wide accolades at numerous international film festivals. He is currently invested in directing one of India’s forward-thinking films, Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai. Soumitra also writes and designs children’s story books, which have been published by Scholastic India and Karadi Tales. That apart, he is also a keen photographer and has had two successful exhibitions in Mumbai. Soumitra is an alumnus of JJ School of Art, Mumbai; and Film & Television Institute of India, Pune.
A dreamer, a designer, and a doer, Aashish co-founded the vision that was Paperboat. Gifted with an artistic aptitude, he has directed numerous short animated films, the best of which have been screened at various international film festivals. His short film Saraswati received the UNICEF best film award in Bangkok, Channel V best promo at Singapore including Anifest and Digicom awards. His expansive expertise comes from having worked at various organizations like Hurixs, Aniright, Tata Elxsi and UTV. Aashish is an alumnus of Art College in Indore and ZICA Animation Institute, Mumbai.
‘Still waters run deep’ is the best manner to describe Mayank, our partner in pursuing perfection. During the last decade, he has created innovative designs and animations for various medias, including UTV’s Dream Blanket and Mahabharatha for cartoon network. He also received rave reviews for animating the Karadi Tales television series for the Disney Channel. A distinguished and diligent designer, Mayank is an alumnus of Art College, Surat.
